You are likely here because you experience challenges in your life, usually in the context of work or relationships. You may be struggling with mental health and experience uncomfortable feelings like anxiety, sadness, anger, guilt, shame, emptiness, loneliness and helplessness. You may have reached a point in your life where you feel lost, not knowing who you are and what you want for yourself, wondering how you arrived where you are. You may know what you should or should not be doing but something deeper seems to get in the way of changing entrenched patterns of behaving and relating to others. You may feel angst in the context of our unstable world. Perhaps other therapies have been unsuccessful in creating long lasting change.

 

I understand the decision to commence therapy is not necessarily easy. Besides the practical considerations of time and money, you are considering engaging in what can be a confronting yet freeing emotional experience. With this in mind, I am welcoming, nonjudgmental and empathic. I practice psychodynamic therapy, meeting either in person or via telehealth. It is within our relationship that we will examine your everyday experiences, your beliefs and feelings about yourself and others, repetitive unhelpful ways you behave and interact, the ways you protect yourself from hurt, and the influence of your childhood experiences on current problems.
